The Ohio State football team will have several positional battles going on this Fall, but none will be as interesting as the quarterback battle.

The Ohio State football team will have a lot of players that will need to be replaced in 2021. They have to have a couple of new offensive linemen, a new starting outside corner, and potentially a new starting running back. But no positional battle will be as important as the quarterback battle.

Justin Fields played the position so well for the last two years that the quarterback position hasn’t even become a thought. He has been automatic for the past two seasons. Now the Buckeyes will have to figure out who their next Fields is going to be.

We have gone through each of the three quarterbacks and why they should get the job. C.J. Stroud seems to have a slight edge depending on who you talk to. He seems to be very well-liked by all of his teammates. That’s not saying the other two aren’t but that might give him the slight edge.

Kyle McCord and Jack Miller will be looking to fight Stroud for that spot. As I’ve said before, I believe that McCord is the best pure passer of the three quarterbacks. I think the job will come down between McCord and Stroud. I just think they are both slightly better than Miller.

No matter who the quarterback is, they all are very similar in talent. Ohio State will still be in a good position to win games right away. The Buckeyes have plenty of offensive weapons to surround the new guy with everything he could want.

Next. Can OSU make a Big Ten Tourney. dark

The Spring game will be the first time we can learn something about this battle. Nothing will be decided until the Fall though. I can’t wait to see who comes out ahead.
