The Ohio State basketball team lost their third straight game today and looks like a team in total free fall at the worst possible time.

The Ohio State basketball team looked like a team that was a true national title contender. They are the fourth-ranked team in the country right now. They certainly won’t stay there when the polls come out next week now that they have lost three straight games.

Ohio State is starting to free fall at the worst possible time. They fell to Iowa on Sunday, losing 73-57 in Columbus. The game never was close as Iowa had the control the entire time. Ohio State looked sluggish from the start and didn’t look like they came to play.

Luka Garza killed the Buckeyes, scoring 24 points on 10-16 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds. Ohio State had no answer for him in the post. Not just that, but the Buckeyes couldn’t score on him very well on the other end of the floor either.

The Buckeyes had 13 turnovers to Iowa’s 5. There were several times where the Buckeyes would just turn it over on entry passes. Those are the type of turnovers that are just senseless and should have been easy to avoid. That is an adjustment that should have been made.

Ohio State has now lost three straight games has looked horribly on the defensive side of the ball in all three games. It is a serious issue that needs to be addressed if the Buckeyes want to do anything at all in the postseason. They are falling apart at the worst possible time of the year.

Ohio State now has one last game in the regular season when they take on Illinois. At this point, it’s fair to wonder if they will lose that one too.
