Ohio State football offers the best cornerback in the country

The Ohio State football team has the best recruiting class in the country for 2022. They are trying to keep it that way in 2023 and have now offered the best cornerback in the country.

The Ohio State football team had the second-best recruiting class in the country for 2021. They currently have the best class for 2022. It would be great if they could keep up that type of recruiting for 2023 too. They are trying their best to keep it that way.

Kerry Coombs and the Buckeyes have now offered the number one cornerback in the country in the 2023 class. That cornerback is Tony Mitchell, a five-star prospect out of Alabaster, Alabama. He is the best cornerback and is widely coveted by the top programs.

Mitchell has been racking up the offers so far. 2023 is a long way out, but good programs need to recruit that far out. Coombs and Ryan Day clearly think that Mitchell can be a really good cornerback. Based on his rating, that makes sense.

Ohio State doesn’t currently have any commits for the class of 2023. Not many programs do since it’s so far away. It’s still much too early to say if Mitchell is going to choose Ohio State. He’s still a sophomore in high school and hasn’t really taken any visits yet.

It would be great if the Buckeyes could snag Mitchell for 2023. Obviously, having the best corner in the country is a good thing for the program. Coombs’ success putting defensive backs in the NFL will certainly help their recruiting pitch to him.
