According to PFF, the Ohio State football team has the two top returning receivers in the country.

The Ohio State football team had one of the best passing attacks in the country in 2020. A lot of that had to do with having a quarterback of Justin Fields’ caliber. But another large part of that was the play of both Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson.

Ohio State got some great news when Olave decided to come back for his senior year. The stellar receiver has put up some gaudy numbers over the course of his career with the Scarlet and Gray, including catching 50 balls for 729 yards and 7 touchdowns in this year’s COVID-shortened season.

While Olave is clearly the number one receiver on the team, Wilson is good enough to be a number one on every other team in the country and will be on this team next year. Wilson had 43 catches for 723 yards and 6 touchdowns in the pandemic shortened year.

According to PFF, no other team has better receivers coming back.

Ohio State is ecstatic to have these guys back on the team. No matter who the quarterback is, this passing attack will be lethal. In fact, the Buckeyes don’t lose any pass catchers from this year’s team either. Every single guy comes back except for Luke Farrell, who only caught 5 passes in 2020.

It will be great to see how the Buckeyes utilize all of their weapons once the Spring Game rolls around. What I do know is that both Olave and Wilson will be the premier receivers in college football and both should be up for national awards by the time 2021 ends.
