No. 2: Trey Sermon continues his ‘Zeke’ like run

Ohio State running back Trey Sermon has been awesome these last two games. He’s rushed for 524 yards and three touchdowns against two stout defensive lines in Northwestern and Clemson.

The bulk of the credit needs to go to this Buckeye offensive line. They are absolutely mauling their opponents and creating huge holes for Sermon to take advantage of. And Sermon is taking full advantage.

Finally fully healthy from his injury-riddled season of a year ago while at Oklahoma, Sermon has come into his own. He’s hitting the holes hard, running with power and authority while also showing the nimbleness to make guys miss. His NFL Draft stock is currently rivaling that of Tesla.

I’m predicting more of the same come Monday night. This Buckeye offensive line should be at or near full strength and that does not bold well for Alabama’s defense. I say Sermon rushes for 185 yards on the ground with another 40 yards in the passing game and a touchdown.

But is that going to be enough for a Buckeye victory?
