#1: Slow down Alabama’s offensive arsenal

The final thing that the Ohio State football team must do for them to defeat the Alabama Crimson Tide is to slow down their offensive arsenal. As previously mentioned, the Crimson Tide has one of if not the best offense in all of college football.

They were held to under 35 points for the first time this season in their last matchup against Notre Dame. Alabama has played against some of the best defenses in the country during their conference games and has picked each and every one of them apart.

There are going to be four main weapons that the Buckeyes are going to have to worry about. Those being quarterback Mac Jones, running back Najee Harris, and a wide receiver duo of Jalen Waddle and Heisman winner DeVonta Smith. It is hard enough to stop one player of their caliber in a game, let alone four on the same offense.

The Buckeyes secondary will have to play the best they have this season. The weight of the world will be placed on the shoulders of Shaun Wade to make this happen. He is the leader of the secondary and will likely be defending either Waddle or Smith every single play that he is on the field.

It will be nearly impossible for the Buckeyes to put the Alabama offense to a complete halt as they did against Clemson. However, if they are able to slow them down, it will be more than enough for Justin Fields to carry the offense and the Buckeyes to a victory in what will likely be a shootout.
