#3: An elite Justin Fields

The first thing that the Ohio State football team needs to happen if they are to beat the Alabama Crimson Tide is for Justin Fields to play at an elite level. This may be a very tall task after the crushing hit to the ribs that everyone saw Fields take in the semifinal game against the Clemson Tigers.

Fields went on to play through the pain and put on one of the most impressive and awe-inspiring performances that have ever been seen. Fields finished the game with 22 completions on 28 attempts for 385 yards, six touchdowns, and one interception.

This was a nearly perfect performance that was more like the Justin Fields that Buckeye fans have come to know rather than the Fields that showed up in the Big Ten championship game. He will likely have to nearly replicate this performance to keep up with the juggernaut of an offense that the Crimson Tide possess.

However, if anything was learned from the previous game from Fields it is that he is going to show up on the biggest stages. When going against the undisputed number one prospect Trevor Lawrence from Clemson, Fields outplayed him to a level that left many questioning if Fields should be the first pick on draft day.

This is something that is going to have to happen again for the Buckeyes to bring down the Alabama dynasty once again.
