The Ohio State football team is approaching the most important game of their season and the biggest game for the university since 2014. The Buckeyes will be facing off against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship.

The odds are stacked against the Ohio State football team in more ways than one. It is clear that superstar quarterback Justin Fields is still banged up after a shot to the ribs he took against the Clemson Tigers in the College Football Playoff semifinals.

Along with this, the Buckeyes are dealing with a COVID outbreak that will be keeping some key players sidelined. This is an issue that raised some questions on if the game should be rescheduled. However, after advanced talks, the game will be going on on the intended date.

Lastly, the Buckeyes will be facing off against three Heisman worthy players in Mac Jones, Najee Harris, and the Heisman winner DeVonta Smith. On top of this, it is likely that Alabama’s number one wide receiver coming into the season, Jaylen Waddle will be returning for the championship game after an injury that he suffered earlier in the season.

Despite all of these cards being stacked against the Ohio State Buckeyes, they can still win this game against one of the best college football teams that have ever been brought together. If the Buckeyes are able to achieve or take care of a handful of things, they will be able to beat Alabama and pull off the biggest upset of the season on the biggest stage.
