Ohio State football fans may now be the biggest fans of Michigan Athletic Director, Warde Manual. It has been reported that Michigan is nearing a five-year contract extension for Jim Harbaugh.

This extension is assumed to be a lower base salary, expected to be $4 million. This will be half of what his initial contract compensated him when he began his tenure as Michigan’s head coach. However, with higher incentives, he will still be able to earn up to $8 million.

Harbaugh’s tenure has been nothing but disastrous for the Wolverines, but glorious for the Buckeyes. Harbaugh has a 49-22 overall record including a 34-16 record in Big Ten play. When it counts the most, Harbaugh is 0-5 against Ohio State, 3-3 against Michigan State, 1-4 in bowl games, and 1-8 against top 10 teams.

Not sure what the logic is behind this Harbaugh extension but it is great news for the Ohio State Buckeyes. A lifetime contract for Harbaugh would be the only thing better than this one! With the Buckeyes winning 16 times since 2000, the Buckeyes’ dominance over TTUN doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon.

Although ‘The Game’ was canceled this season due to COVID, there is no doubt that Ryan Day, Justin Fields and company would have had no troubles staying away from the endzone.

When it’s all said, and done, Harbaugh will most likely end his tenure at Michigan with a 0-5 record against Urban Meyer and an 0-6 record against Ryan Day.

The all-time series could be in jeopardy for the Wolverines due to Harbaugh’s leadership as well. With a record of 58-51-6 in Michigan’s favor, the Buckeyes could tie it all up as soon as 2026.
