Ohio State football: The Buckeyes are good enough to win it all
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team has shown the college football world that they not only were worthy to make the CFP, but they are good enough to win it all.
The Ohio State football team won a game that they had looked forward to playing in all year long. They got their revenge on a very good team in Clemson. The Buckeyes didn’t just beat them, they destroyed them, handing them a 49-28 defeat.
That game showed that they can win the national championship. They showed it to themselves and the rest of the college football world. Ohio State has an elite team. If they can beat Clemson in the manner that they did, then they can certainly beat the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Alabama has looked like the best team in the country all year long. They are undefeated and have really only been threatened in a game once. Even so, they have vulnerabilities. Their defense is not the strong Bama defense that they typically own.
Alabama’s vulnerabilities are not the only reason why Ohio State can win this game. Ohio State is just simply that good. Ryan Day has shown that he is an excellent coach. He will have his team prepared for anything they might face on January 11th.
We will have to see if Ohio State ends up being able to beat Alabama. One thing is for sure though; Ohio State is good enough to be a national champion. They will have to play their best game to do so. Justin Fields will have to have another extremely good outing. So will Trey Sermon.
Ohio State got the revenge they were seeking against Clemson. Now they have a chance for something more. They will not let this opportunity slip away.
