Ohio State football gets revenge on Clemson in dominant win

The Ohio State football team got revenge on Clemson in a big way, beating them 49-28 in the Sugar Bowl in a game they dominated throughout.
The Ohio State football team will be playing for a national championship. They used the motivation that Clemson and the national media gave them to dominated the Tigers. This game wasn’t even as close as the 49-28 score indicated. It was a straight-up butt-kicking.
Justin Fields was the star of this show. He was absolutely incredible, throwing for a Sugar Bowl record 6 touchdowns. He did all while taking a shot in the ribs in the first half that clearly had him hobbled. He threw for 385 yards and ran for another 42 yards.
Trey Sermon was also a big part of this Buckey massacre. He carried the ball 31 times for 193 yards and a score of his own. He wore down the Clemson defense and helped open up the deep shots that Fields took down the field. He is quickly establishing himself as an all-time great Buckeye.
The defense also stepped up in the second half. After allowing an opening drive touchdown, the defense settled in and played a lot better. They forced a Trevor Lawrence fumble and kept Clemson from keeping pace with them. They didn’t play perfect, but it was good enough.
Ohio State needed a game like this after all of the crap Clemson was talking, specifically Dabo Swinney. Dabo clearly didn’t respect Ohio State after ranking him 11th in his coaches poll. It was great to see the Buckeyes put an absolute beatdown on him and his team.
Now the Buckeyes will turn their attention to Alabama. Bama destroyed Notre Dame in the first semi-final game, so it will be a tough test. Of course, we all know what happened the last time the Buckeyes faced the Crimson Tide. Hopefully we get the same result on January 11th.
