The Ohio State basketball team will take on Nebraska tonight to try and get their final win of 2020. It won’t be as easy as some people think.

The Ohio State basketball team will be facing off against Nebraska tonight at 6:30. Both teams will be trying to get their final win of 2020. While Nebraska has had a rough start to their season, no game in the Big Ten is ever easy. Ohio State can attest to that.

Nebraska has had a brutal schedule to start this Big Ten season. They have started 0-2 but have had to face Michigan and Wisconsin in those games. Now they face an Ohio State team that is also ranked. It’s a rough way to start out conference play.

The Cornhuskers do still have some talented players. Teddy Allen is their leading scorer at 18.2 points per game. He’s a guard that also can wreak havoc on the defensive side of the ball, as he averages 2.2 steals a game too. Ohio State will have to stay in front of him all night.

One good thing for the Buckeyes is that Nebraska doesn’t shoot the three particularly well, only shooting 32% from behind the arc. Defending the three has been a problem for Chris Holtmann’s squad early this season. They still need to defend well, but not quite as tightly.

Ohio State will be without the services of Musa Jallow tonight. Jallow is out due to COVID contact tracing. It’s a big blow to lose him off the bench because he has actually given Holtmann some quality minutes. It will be up to Seth Towns to step up and be the primary guy off the bench tonight.

Game Prediction: Ohio State 76 Nebraska 58

Nebraska just isn’t as talented as the Buckeyes are. E.J. Liddell should be able to get any shot he wants down low. Justice Sueing should have a bounceback game as well. The question is whether or not Duane Washington will have better shot selection., My guess is he will not.

Despite that, Ohio State shouldn’t have too many issues winning this game. It’s a game they need to win to get back to .500 in Big Ten play. You can watch the game at 6:30 pm on Big Ten Network.
