We hope everyone is having a merry Christmas! Here are three things the Ohio State football team should be wishing for on Christmas.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have reached the most important time of the season, that being postseason play. They have already started off strong with a win over Northwestern in the Big Ten Championship due to a historic game from Trey Sermon.

However, the next game or two that they will participate in will be against much more elite competition. The Buckeyes controversially slipped into the College Football Playoff. Earning the third seed and scheduled to face off against the Clemson Tigers.

If they go on to defeat the Tigers for the first time in school history, the Ohio State Buckeyes will face off against the winner of the game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Currently, the Buckeyes only have a 5/1 odds to win the National Title.

While the odds may be slim, the Buckeyes have pulled out a title with the odds stacked against them heavier than they are this season. In their most recent championship season in 2014, the Buckeyes were the fourth seed and had to face off against the first seeded Alabama team and the second-ranked Oregon team.

With this being the holiday season, it is the perfect time to see what the Buckeyes will be wishing for heading into the first round of the College Football Playoff. Their wish list will include both player goals along with team goals.
