Most Improved Buckeye: Haskell Garrett, DT

Haskell Garrett has been a man amongst boys in the trenches for Ohio State this season. His pure strength has put pressure on both the opposition’s pass and run game in 2020. All this and he was barely able to crack the defensive tackle rotation last season.

This is also remarkable due to the fact that he was shot in the face just before summer camp started in August. Persevering through that adversity, Garrett has been a monster. He has arguably been the best Buckeye defensive lineman in 2020 and may have played himself into becoming a high NFL draft pick if he chooses to test those waters.

Best Skill Position Player: Garrett Wilson, WR

This was close between Wilson and fellow receiver Chris Olave but Wilson gets the nod here. His big-play potential puts pressure on the opposing defense on every snap that he’s on the field.

With 34 receptions, 572 yards, and 5 touchdowns in only five games, Wilson is proving to be a lethal weapon in the slot receiver position for Ohio State. Good luck to Northwestern in trying to cover him in the Big Ten Championship next week.
