Ohio State football has beaten down TTUN over the years and has reduced their program to a second-tier program. Now the Buckeyes have a chance to truly break their program fully.

Ever since Jim Harbaugh has taken over TTUN, Ohio State football has completely dominated the rivalry between the two programs. In fact, the beatdowns have been so bad, that fans have completely lost fate in TTUN’s ability to compete not only with Ohio State but the Big Ten as well.

This year the stakes are even higher though. Ryan Day is looking to put his stamp on the rivalry. He wants to back up his comments that he said before the season. He also wants to keep the Buckeyes in the hunt for the College Football Playoff.

Even bigger than that is the state of TTUN’s future as a football program. Day has a chance to completely cripple them for good as a program. Top recruits will stop even considering going there because it will be clear that TTUN doesn’t have a path to win anything.

The Buckeyes are dealing with COVID issues along the offensive line, so they are somewhat vulnerable. We keep talking about this when it comes to The Game. If not now for TTUN, when? This is going to be their best chance to beat the Buckeyes in a year where everything is different.

If TTUN offers Jim Harbaugh an extension after Ohio State beats them down again, then TTUN is clearly content with being a second-rate program at best. They will never win a national title again, and probably won’t ever win a conference championship.

As of now, The Game is still set to be played. Ohio State will be ready to crush the hopes and dreams of TTUN once again if they do indeed play.
