The Ohio State basketball team gets their first real taste of competition when they take on Notre Dame tonight at 7:30.

The Ohio State basketball team will take on Notre Dame tonight in South Bend for their first real chance at a measuring stick for them. The Buckeyes haven’t played anyone any good so far this season, so we don’t know exactly how talented this team is yet.

Notre Dame has only been able to play two games so far this season because of COVID problems. Their first game was a loss to Michigan State in which they kept the game close for most of the contest. Michigan State is the fourth-best team in the country right now.

This game should show us just how good this Buckeye team has a chance to be. If they shoot the ball up to their capability, they should be able to pull out a solid road win. If they struggle as they did against UMass Lowell, it could be a long night for the Buckeyes.

Justice Sueing will once again be the focal point of the Ohio State offense. He is the most reliable scoring option. He can create his own shot and is very hard to stop in transition. Duane Washington also needs to step up his efficiency in this one.

The Buckeyes will be tasked with stopping guard Prentiss Hubb, who is the Irish’s best scoring threat. He averages 20.5 points per game so far this season. The Buckeyes need to make sure they get out on him near the three-point line where he shoots 38%.

Game prediction: Ohio State 75 Notre Dame 70

It’s too early to tell how good either of these teams are at the moment. I think the Buckeyes have a little bit more talent than the Irish, and in the end they are able to pull it out. Even if they lose this game, it shouldn’t be too bad of a loss in the eyes of the selection committee.

Next. The Game is canceled, but the season is not. dark

The game will be on at 7:30 on ESPN 2 tonight. I hope everyone watches it to help forget the fiasco going on with football.
