Ohio State has to play two more games to qualify for the Big Ten title game. Kirk Herbstreit brought up a good point about TTUN and what they might do to keep the Buckeyes from qualifying.

Ohio State is set to play their game against Michigan State this Saturday as of now. That’s a big deal because they have to play that game and their season-finale against TTUN. College football analyst Kirk Herbstreit brought up a good point about that game on Tuesday’s CFP rankings show.

Herbstreit said that TTUN very well could “wave the white flag” and end up cancelling the game against the Buckeyes and claim COVID issues. TTUN did pause team activities because of “presumptive positive COVID tests”. That’s different than having actual, real positive tests though.

While Herbie didn’t say that was exactly what TTUN is doing, it’s certainly worth talking about. He was right to bring it up because it is worth talking about. What would stop Harbaugh from canceling The Game to avoid getting embarrassed again if he had a built-in excuse.

It would be a way to stick it to his rival and keep his team from suffering national embarrassment again. It would also go against everything that sports mean. That entire program would be labeled as cowards forever. Herbie was right to bring up the possibility of it happening.

Let’s make it clear that Herbie did not say that is what TTUN is doing. He said it’s a possibility. There is a real chance that the program does have COVID issues. If that is true, then Ohio State might just be out of luck. This is something worth talking about regardless.

If TTUN does end up canceling The Game without the COVID cases to back it up, they will lose every recruiting battle for all time and will get dunked on so hard by Ohio State every year.
