The Ohio State basketball team plays their second game of the season today against UMass Lowell. We take a look at both teams before their matchup.

Ohio State basketball is back in action today, taking on UMass Lowell for their second game of the 2020 season. The Buckeyes had no trouble in their first game on Wednesday, destroying Southern Illinois. It did give us our first look at how this team is constructed.

It’s clear that Justice Sueing is the most offensively talented player on the Buckeyes’ roster. Anytime they need a bucket, they can just give him the ball and get out of the way. He is going to be a big part of this team all year long.

Zed Key was also the first man off the bench for Chris Holtmann. We will see if that continues throughout the remainder of the season. It’s still only the second game of the season so things can change. Key played well in his first collegiate game in that role.

This Ohio State basketball squad should not have any problems winning this game today.

This is another game where we should expect the Buckeyes to play a lot of guys on their roster. Last game, everyone got in. Expect something similar today. While UMass Lowell is better than Southern Illinois, there is still a massive talent gap between them and the Buckeyes.

Obadiah Noel is the River Hawks’ best player. He averaged 18.2 points a game last year as well as 5.2 rebounds. The senior guard will likely be the focal point of their offense. He is the one player that the Buckeye defense needs to look out for.

Game prediction: Ohio State 95 UMass Lowell 63

I’m predicting a similar score to the Buckeyes’ first game. I wasn’t sure how the scoring was going to come before that game, but I’m sure about it now. Sueing and E.J. Liddell should once again lead the way for Ohio State. Even though UMass Lowell is better than their last opponent, the Buckeyes are just too good.
