Why we are more thankful than ever for Ohio State football
By Ryan Stano
We are always thankful for Ohio State football here at Scarlet and Game. But this year, we are more thankful than ever to be able to watch the sport that we love.
Ohio State football has been a constant for over 100 years. It’s been something that everyone can look forward to every year. It’s clearly something people love since fans constantly fill up a 100,000+ seat stadium every single Saturday to watch it happen.
We are thankful for Ohio State football every year, but more thankful than ever for it this year. With the pandemic continuing to rage on, it’s good to be able to turn on the tv on Saturday and watch the Buckeyes destroy whatever opponent they have in front of them.
Of course, we haven’t been able to have the Buckeyes play every Saturday this fall. Part of that is the Big Ten being stupid and part of that is the pandemic. But even if it hasn’t been quite every Saturday this fall, it has still been great to have some level of normalcy by watching the team play.
This team is also really good. It makes us thankful that we can watch a team that is competitive every week and has more than a chance to win. Watching the team play also gives us memories of a better time and leads us to be hopeful for better times in the not so distant future.
Buckeye football has been one of the few constants in this crazy time that we live in. We are most thankful for that, and we are thankful we can breakdown the game and let you forget about the craziness in your own life. Even if it’s just for a few minutes at a time.
For all of us here at Scarlet and Game, we wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving.
