Ohio State lands Quinn Ewers, #1 QB in the country for 2022
By Ryan Stano
Ohio State was rumored to be getting him when he de-committed from Texas, but now it’s official; the Buckeyes have landed Quinn Ewers.
Ryan Day has been an incredible recruiter since joining Ohio State. This goes back to his days as an OC as well. Now as head coach, he has taken his recruiting game to a whole new level. That has not been more evident than now after landing Quinn Ewers.
Ewers is the number two player in the country for the class of 2022 and the number one quarterback. He is considered to be the best quarterback prospect since Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields. He is an absolute stud and is a huge addition for the Buckeyes.
Ewers is a big kid at 6’3 and 195 pounds. He has a rocket arm and can make all of the throws. He moves well in the pocket and can actually use his legs as a weapon. Ewers is a lot like Fields in the fact that he loves to pass from the pocket but can be used as a runner too.
The future Buckeye announced his decision on Twitter.
Ohio State continues to be a place where the top offensive talent in the country wants to attend. Day has done an excellent job of developing the talent he has and sending them on to success at the next level. That is no doubt what led him to land Ewers.
This gives the Buckeyes a head start on what could be the best recruiting class in the country for 2022. They already have 8 other commits for that class. It is shaping up to be another all-time class for the Buckeyes under Day.
This is a huge boost to the Ohio State program and something that every Buckeye fan should be excited about.
