Maryland opted not to play Ohio State because of eight positive COVID tests within their program. Fans of the Buckeyes are not happy they decided to not play.

Ohio State has been humming along so far this season. They haven’t come close to losing in any of the three games they have played so far, and it didn’t look like they were going to this week either. Maryland had other plans and decided to not suit up at all.

They said that the eight positive tests among players was a number too high for them to play this week against the Buckeyes. Those players must sit out at least 21 days now. Apparently though, they are still looking forward to playing next week despite those positive tests.

This has rubbed Ohio State fans the wrong way. Many took to Twitter to voice their displeasure with the Terrapins’ decision and even went as far as to call them scared.

As you can see, fans are not happy at all with what’s happening this weekend. Eight doesn’t seem like a large enough amount of tests to cancel a game. Fans really want to play a game this weekend, and they seem to blame Maryland for it.

If you remember, Maryland head coach Mike Locksley is the one who snitched on Chase Young last year and led to him being suspended for two games. You can be sure that Ryan Day hasn’t forgotten that and certainly won’t forget this issue this season.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Ohio State drops 80 on the Terrapins next season.
