Not having fans in Happy Valley will make the game easier for Ohio State to win. But it is a bummer that the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions won’t be able to play in that rowdy atmosphere.

Without having fans in the stands, Big Ten games are going to come down to talent. Whichever team has the most talent and executes the best is most likely going to win. This should help Ohio State win games like the one they face on Saturday.

Ohio State will travel to Penn State for a night game and a 7:30 pm start. College Gameday will also be there as well. Normally, this would be a massive college football event. But without fans, it will be a much more hollow game without the atmosphere.

Even some Ohio State players are bummed about having no fans in the building. Shaun Wade said, “I love when the fans try to rile us up”. These players came to play in the Big Ten so they could play in some of the best environments in college football.

I also wish there were fans in the stands for this game. There is nothing quite like a hush over a crowd when the away team makes a big play. The touchdown by K.J. Hill to win the game in 2018 comes to mind. Plays like that are the absolute best.

None of that matters right now though. Having no fans in the stands will make it easier for the Buckeyes to win this game. That’s all that matters at this point; winning games. It doesn’t matter where and it doesn’t matter the circumstances around it.
