Ohio State up to No. 3 in latest AP Poll
After dominating the Nebraska Cornhuskers 52-17 in their season opener, the Ohio State Buckeyes have jumped up two spots to third in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 rankings.
The Clemson Tigers still sit at the top of the rankings followed by Alabama. Ohio State jumps up in front of Notre Dame, despite the Irish throttling Pittsburgh 45-3. The Georgia Bulldogs round out the top five after they fell to Alabama last week.
Looking at the rest of the Big Ten, Penn State dropped ten spots to No. 18 after losing to Indiana, who is now ranked 17th, 36-35 in overtime. Michigan took care of business against Minnesota 49-24 and has moved up to No. 13. Minnesota has dropped out of the top 25.
Along with Indiana, new to the Top 25 this week are also Oklahoma at 24 and Boise State at 25. North Carolina State and Virginia Tech join Minnesota as teams who have dropped out of the rankings.

Ohio State travels to Penn State next Saturday for a matchup that will feature two top 20 teams. The Buckeyes are going to have to be ready for a Penn State team that will be angry after being upset by Indiana in week one. Ohio State can’t afford to have a let down like them.
As long as the Buckeyes keep winning, they will keep climbing in the rankings. Ohio State will be favored in every game they play in for the rest of the season, including a potential Big Ten Championship game. They just have to keep focused and stay healthy.
