The final spot that makes the most sense would appeal to the traditionalists of college football. The date that The Game is played is not what is important, the important part is that it is the last game of the year.

Ohio State and Michigan should enter their matchup with the East Division up for grabs in a winner-take-all type of scenario. The stakes are what has made this rivalry special.
This kind of thinking is appealing to a lot of people.

Fans of the Buckeyes and Wolverines have gotten used to gearing up all season for the biggest game of the season. Both schools view this game as a playoff where the loser has failed to achieve their goals. This game just means more, the more that there is on the line.

This could be used as a great way to make a final statement to the playoffs committee. With a big game between Ohio State and Michigan followed by the Big Ten Championship the next week, that is two great games to end a season on, rather than having the committee tune out down the stretch. We have seen that big wins matter more the later in the year they come and there is no win better than this win.

This is the best choice for the conference to take. Keep the tradition alive by playing the biggest game at the biggest time.
