For as long as most people can remember, Ohio State has played Michigan on the last Saturday in November, immediately following Thanksgiving. The Game should be played when the air is crisp and cold, the leaves are on the ground, and the ‘Shoe is filled thousands of fans.

There would be something therapeutic for both the Buckeyes and Wolverines to know that in a world where everything seems to be changing, that Saturday can always be counted on.

From a financial perspective of the schools, the later in the season the more likely that some fans might be allowed to attend the games. As fun as it will be to watch Ohio State beat Michigan again, having students and fans be able to witness that in person would be a tremendous experience and show a huge success for the conference.

This option seems like it should be a strong contender. With both teams hoping to be very much alive for the East crown at this point in the season, this could be a big-time game that forces the College Football Playoff committee to look at two ranked schools. With the Big Ten playing fewer games than other conferences this year, they will need eyes to be on them to earn one of the playoff spots.
