Ohio State football players tend to put up big numbers in the NFL, so let’s take a look at what those numbers might look like in 2020.

Last year, two former Buckeye wide receivers led their respective teams in receiving yards and touchdowns: Michael Thomas for the New Orleans Saints (1,725 yards, 9 TDs – tied for first) and Terry McLaurin for the then-named Washington Redskins (919 yards, 7 TDs).

On the defensive side, San Francisco 49ers DE Nick Bosa led all rookies with 9 sacks and added 16 tackles for loss, while picking up his first Pro Bowl appearance and AP Defensive Rookie of the Year honors along the way.

However, Thomas, McLaurin, and Bosa are certainly not the only Ohio State alums making a major difference in the NFL. Ezekiel Elliott finished second in rushing yards (1,357) in the NFC behind Christian McCaffrey (1,387), and fellow 2015 top-four overall draft pick Joey Bosa finished second in sacks in the AFC with 11.5.

In these projections, we certainly won’t be able to cover every single former Ohio State football player currently in the NFL, but starting with quarterbacks, we’ll focus on players who receive regular playing time.
