Ohio State continues their great recruiting even during the pandemic as they land another player from the class of 2022.

Ohio State has done a phenomenal job on the recruiting trail during some unprecedented times. They haven’t been able to host recruits for visits due to the pandemic. Yet they still have been racking up the commitments across multiple classes.

Tonight they landed another one for the class of 2022. They landed Bennett Christian, a 3-star tight end from Acworth, Georgia. Christian is the 18th best tight end in the country and the best ranked tight end in the state of Georgia. He chose the Buckeyes over Tennessee.

Christian is 6’6 and 235 pounds. He was only offered by Ohio State a couple of months ago, and he was clearly waiting for that offer because he has committed already. Looking at his film, he seems a bit raw as a pass-catcher but has plenty of room to grow in that regard. He is a great blocker already though.

He is about to start his Junior year so he can definitely still be a better prospect a year from now. This is just another example of the Buckeyes identifying talent and banking on growth happening before he gets to the program, and he is someone they believe can be coached up in the passing game.

Christian is now the sixth prospect that the Buckeyes have for the class of 2022. He joins Gabe Powers, Dasan McCullogh, C.J. Hicks, Tegra Tshabola, and Jyaire Brown. Chrisitan is the only offensive player in this class who can have the ball in his hands so far.

Ohio State clearly isn’t letting COVID slow them down on the recruiting trail. Expect them to keep hitting the trail aggressively and gain even more commits in the coming weeks.
