Ryan Day has some strong words over the announcement that the Big Ten is canceling  their season.

Amid reports that the Big Ten University Presidents have already decided to cancel the Big Ten season, due to concerns about the coronavirus, Ryan Day has a message.

"“This isn’t over!”"

The Ohio State head coach posted on Twitter that he is willing to back his players in order to have a 2020 season.

Ryan Day posted moments after a report came that the vote had already taken place and that there would not be a 2020 college football season.

Many of his assitants including Mickey Marotti and Brian Hartline have expressed their desire to have a season and allow players to be the one’s to make the choice whether to play or not.

Ohio State is not the only school in the Big Ten to vocally support the players having a seaon in 2020.

James Franklin, Jim Harbaugh, and Scott Frost are among the Big Ten coaches who have said that there should be a 2020 college football season. There is growing support from palyers, coaches, parents, and fans that teh Big Ten schools have taken the necessary precautions and should be allowed to play in 2020.

It is unclear if a realignment of conferences would happen, or how teams might be able to continue playing football this offseason if the Presidents decide to shut down the Big Ten, but it is clear that there are many coaches who would be willing to support their players and try to find a way to play.

This would be a frustrating year to lose for Ohio State considering they were projected to win the Big Ten, compete for a National title, and had a Heisman trophy favorite.

There are now reports that there was no vote to cancel the season at all. It seems to me that the conference is trying to save face and lie.

Viability of Ohio State joining another conference. dark. Next

There has been a lot of outrage and emotional responses to the recent announcement, and Ohio State along with the rest of the Big Ten now have to wait to see what, if anything, happens next.
