Linebackers:

Micah Parsons, Penn State

Parsons will go into the 2020 season as the preseason favorite to win the Big Ten’s defensive player of the year. Parson made an impact in every game last season with Penn State, finishing with 109 tackles, 5 sacks and 4 forced fumbles.

Paddy Fisher, Northwestern

Fisher is the undisputed team leader of the Wildcats and has been so for a while. And with 315 career tackles to his name, Fisher looks to lead the Big Ten in that category in 2020 as a senior for Northwestern.

Antjuan SimmonsMichigan State

The first Michigan State Spartan to be selected to this team, Simmons had an excellent season last year with 90 tackles, 3.5 sacks and two forced fumbles to his credit. Another solid season in 2020 is surely on the horizon for Simmons.

Cornerbacks:

Shaun Wade, Ohio State

Wade could have been a first-round pick if he decided to enter the 2020 NFL Draft but elected to come back to Ohio State to prove that he could play outside corner. With defensive coordinator Kerry Coombs back in the fold for the Buckeyes, look for Wade to lock down his side of the field in 2020.

Ambry Thomas, Michigan

Thomas is the Wolverines leader in the secondary as the senior looks to outperform his 2019 campaign of 38 tackles and 3 interceptions. Thomas is widely considered to be the Big Ten’s second-best corner behind Wade.

Safeties:

Eric Burrell, Wisconsin

The Badgers leader in the secondary is Eric Burrell who had 55 total tackles, 2 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles in 2019. Wisconsin has lined him up at corner, linebacker and safety so he is a swiss army knife for defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard to deploy.

 Xavier Henderson, Michigan State

Henderson is a very solid safety for the Michigan State Spartans who had 83 tackles and 2 interceptions as a sophomore last season.
