There have been a lot of good Ohio State football seasons. These are the three best individual ones in the history of the team.

Ohio State football is one of the most storied football programs in America. They have had decades of sustained success and have a plethora of award winners. While the style of game has changed over the years, the Buckeyes still keep winning games and churning out All-Americans.

There have been a lot of statistically great seasons in recent memory at Ohio State. A large reason for that is the game is played at a much faster pace, so teams get a lot more possessions. So for the purpose of this article, “best” may not mean “statistically best”. It may mean it was dominant and the reason for a lot of wins.

With that in mind, I looked at all of the seasons that anyone has had over the past 100 years of Ohio State football. There have been some truly great seasons along the way. This was really hard for me to decide which are the three best because of so many factors.

One of the biggest factors I had to take into account is that there have been a varying number of games played over the years. For instance, Ohio State played 14 games last season and all of those games count towards stats for an individual player. Back in 1974 however, they only played 12. There were even fewer games played before that too.

With that being said, it’s time to reveal the third-best individual season of all-time. This one is relatively recent and was truly dominant.
