One constant on the Ohio State football team is the defensive line is always strong. With the way Larry Johnson is recruiting, expect more of the same.

Coach Johnson already has three outstanding recruits in the 2021 recruiting class who have committed to play Ohio State football. Apparently he isn’t satisfied with that and is after more big guys to add to his unit.

As reported in a recent article by Bill Kurelic of 247Sports,Tyleik Williams, the No. 10 ranked  defensive tackle in the 247Sports Composite, has listed the Buckeyes among the top six teams he is considering. Coach Johnson could use another DT in the 2021 class as Jashon Cornell, Davon Hamilton and Robert Landers have moved on.

Williams would seem to be a good fit as he is a big tackle who could play over center. There are plenty of prospects to fill in at the three-technique, but Williams is listed at 317 pounds so he would certainly play nose tackle.

He would be a great addition to the class to go along with 290 pound Mike Hall, the No. 5 ranked tackle. The two along with highly ranked defensive ends would certainly make coach Johnson happy.

Those ends are Jack Sawyer, the No. 3 SDE in the 2021 class, and Tunmise Adeleye who is ranked No. 4. Another top prospect at the position could be added as well.

J.T. Tulmoloau is the No. 2 SDE in the class and the 2nd ranked overall player. Crystal Ball predictions favor the Buckeyes at 92.3 percent. Other highly ranked linemen are also on the radar.

Next. Who should Buckeyes fear in upcoming years?. dark

With those already committed to the 2021 class, if coach Johnson could land the two players mentioned above it could be a defensive line group for the ages. I wouldn’t bet against the legendary coach bringing them in either. After all, they have to understand there will be a good chance they will become stars on Saturdays playing for coach J and earn paychecks on Sundays.
