While Ohio State quarterbacks have not had historically much success in the NFL, it appears that this stigma may change.

Looking back through the 2010s there have been few years that as far as college goes, Ohio State has not had one of the best quarterbacks in the nation. Along with this, the depth at the quarterback spot for the Buckeyes in the past decade is like nothing that we have ever seen in college football.

With the Buckeyes winning a national championship with their third-string quarterback in 2014, Joe Burrow sitting the bench Ohio State then going on to be the number one overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, and Tate Martell transferring to a highly respected Miami Hurricanes team with the intentions of being their quarterback, it appears that the days of Ohio State lacking at the quarterback position in terms of NFL success and representation are over.

Today, I will be ranking the top 3 Ohio State quarterbacks from the 2010s. The criteria for the list is their entire time at Ohio State must be in 2010-2020 and only takes into account what they did at Ohio State.

An honorable mention for the list is Cardale Jones. It is true that he is the only quarterback to bring the Buckeyes a national title this decade and that is one of the greatest accomplishments that anyone has ever pulled off coming from a third-string quarterback to win it all. However, he simply did not play enough games or put up the stats to make him a top-three quarterback. Also, him losing the starting job in the 2015-2016 season is another factor that kept him off of the list.
