Ohio State Football: Ranking the top 5 upcoming non conference games
No. 5: Oregon Ducks, 2020 and 2021 seasons
In a re-match of the 2014 national championship, Ohio State and Oregon hopefully will square off in Eugene on September 12th of this upcoming season. This is sure to be the biggest game in college football in its opening weeks as these two powerhouse programs are both poised to make deep runs at the College Football Playoffs in 2020.
While the Buckeyes start off the home and home series as the away team, the Ducks return the favor in Columbus on September 11th of 2021, as that too is likely to be a huge game with massive CFP implications.
Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal is doing a fantastic job in rebuilding a program that was left deflated by former head coach Mark Helfrich and then was spurned by Willie Taggart after one season as head coach.
After a 12-2 season in 2019 and a Rose Bowl victory, Oregon should present Ohio State with some problems for the 2020 and 2021 games respectively. But if Ryan Day has his team ready to play, in which he did all season long in 2019, then the Buckeyes talent should prevail in this series.
