The offensive line could be the strongest unit on the Ohio State football team next season, largely due to coach Studrawa and his recruiting hits.

The Ohio State football team has the luxury of having talented units up and down its roster but the offensive line room could be the strongest in the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. With four and five-star players littering the room, offensive line coach Greg Studrawa deserves a massive amount of credit for its success.

Early in his Buckeye tenure, Studrawa was slammed for not being able to recruit at a high level. Since then the narrative has changed. Five-star lineman such as Nicholas Petit-Frere, Parris Johnson Jr., Wyatt Davis and Harry Miller have been tremendous gets for this Ohio State roster.

But more importantly than getting them to sign on the dotted line, coach Studrawa is doing an excellent job in developing them into great players. Josh Myers could be the best center in college football, Wyatt Davis is the best guard and Thayer Munford has been one of the best tackles in the Big Ten for the past two seasons.

This upcoming season we will see how two prized five-star recruits in Nicholas Petit-Frere and Harry Miller have developed as they are expected to become first time starters along this offensive line. If previous successes are any past indicator, look for these two to step right in to help solidify this line and help make them the best in the Big Ten for 2020.

This offensive line will be relied upon heavily next season with Trey Sermon and Master Teague expected to get the majority of the reps at tailback. The line will need to be better at run blocking then it was last season in order to get this ground game off to a good start in 2020. That’s a tall task to ask for as  JK Dobbins ran for an Ohio State single-season record in 2019.

With a massive amount of talent already in Columbus and a slew of talent waiting in the wings for the 2021 and 2022 classes respectively, Greg Studrawa has turned into one of Ohio State’s best position coaches.
