The former Ohio State basketball fan favorite will retire from basketball after the conclusion on The Basketball Tournament.

Carmen’s Crew won The Basketball Tournament last year. That team was littered with former Ohio State basketball players, including point guard Aaron Craft. They played as a cohesive unit and won the $2 million winner take all prize at the end of the tournament.

Craft has been playing professionally overseas for a few years now. He had a brief stint in the NBA’s G League and then started playing overseas. He has announced that this will be his last professional basketball playing after he was accepted into Ohio State’s med school.

This is a perfect time for Buckeye fans to watch his final act. While the first round of the tournament will once again take place in Columbus, fans will not be in attendance. That is a crying shame because fans loved Craft at Ohio State and continue to love him now.

Fans can still watch Craft and the rest of Carmen’s Crew on ESPN. With no live sports being played until after the tournament is over, it will be the perfect time to watch. All of the games in the entire TBT are being played at Nationwide Arena in downtown Columbus.

The games will be played from July 4-14, which is a much quicker pace than they have been played in the past. Craft and company will have to make sure that they are well-rested going into this tournament. We all know Craft will be giving it his all.

As for Craft himself, he will be remembered as one of the hardest-working players to ever do it. His defensive effort, peskiness, and hard-work are what made him a fan-favorite while playing for the Buckeyes. He is one of my favorite Buckeye basketball players of all-time.

Fans who love how Craft played should tune in every game Carmen’s Crew plays. It’s a lot of fun to watch.
