Recently I reviewed the biggest trap games that Ohio State needs to watch out for this season. These two teams come at certain points in the season that the Buckeyes could let their resolve waver and could be facing a much harder test than they originally planned for.

Indiana

Indiana seems to play Ohio State close most years. This game comes after Penn State and a home game on Halloween and starts a three-game stretch against teams that most likely will not be competing for a spot in Indianapolis.

The Buckeyes could let their guard down here and might get into a shootout. Indiana will be using a young starting quarterback, but at this point in the season could be playing with nothing to lose.

@ Illinois

Ohio State takes a road trip the week before the Michigan game to face an opponent familiar with knocking off higher-ranked teams. Last year Illinois stunned Wisconsin when the Badgers got caught looking ahead to a big showdown the next week.

The Buckeyes will need to stay focused here if they do not want to become another victim. At this point, the Michigan game could be all that stands between Ohio State and the Big Ten Championship Game. But without a focused effort they could have a difficult matchup.
