Ohio State football players back at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center

Today is the first time that Ohio State football players have been able to get back into the Woody Hayes Athletic Center for workouts.
As Ohio State football fans, we have been looking for signs of normalcy every since the pandemic started. Today was a big step towards normalcy and a great sign for the upcoming season. Today, for the first time since last season ended, players are back at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.
Ohio State, like the rest of the college football world, has been in a wait-and-see mode during this challenging pandemic time. They have been patiently waiting to see when they can get back to normal football activities. Today is the first step to getting back to normal.
Now not all of the football players are allowed back in at once. According to the guidelines that they must follow, staffers may only allow ten players in at a time. So the Buckeyes have to bring their players in stages so they can get their proper workout.
The logistics may be annoying but it’s a small price to pay to get the players back in proper shape. This comes on the heels of President Michael Drake announcing that students will be on campus in the fall. Everything seems to be trending in the right direction.
Players will continue being allowed into the facility in stages for awhile. By July, there’s a chance that won’t be necessary anymore. But however the players are allowed in, they will make sure they make the most of their time in the workout facility.
Coaches have to be happy to have their players back working out. Now they just have to wait a bit longer to get them out on the field.
