Ohio State football: Buckeyes could land top two DE’s in 2021

Ohio State already has the second-best defensive end in the class of 2021. It looks like they might land the best defensive end too.
Ryan Day has already established himself as one of the best recruiters in the country. His assistant coaches have helped him assemble the top recruiting class in the country. Ohio State already has 17 commits for the 2021 class and should be getting another one soon.
According to 247 Sports, Jack Sawyer is the number three overall recruit and the second-best defensive end in the country. Ohio State has already landed him. What is even better is that they are the leading candidate to land the number one defensive end, who is also the number two overall recruit.
J.T. Tuimoloau is a defensive end out of Washington state. He is an incredible talent and is being recruited heavily by d-line coach Larry Johnson. It is coming down between Ohio State and Washington for his services, and Ohio State is the heavy favorite right now.
Tuimoloau is 6’4 and 277 pounds. He already uses his hands extremely well and that will only improve if he is coached by Larry Johnson. Tuimoloau is also very strong and can break through the offensive line with ease. He is also a very sure-tackler and always brings the quarterback down when he gets his hands on them.
According to 247 Sports, Ohio State is a 90% favorite over Washington to land Tuimoloau. Landing him and Sawyer in the same recruiting class would be an unbelievable haul for Day and company. It would make the defensive line even scarier for opposing teams.

Tuimoloau should be making his decision soon. It would be surprising to see him stay home in Washington at this point. He soon could be making his intention to play for the Scarlet and Gray known.
