Ohio State Buckeyes basketball 2010s All-Decade team

Power forward is a position that isn’t utilized as much in the Holtman era as it was in the Matta era. Another Matta era player gets the starting nod because of that. Deshaun Thomas gets the starting spot after three very productive seasons with the Buckeyes.
Thomas averaged 14.4 points in his career but had 19.8 in his final season with the team. He was also a member of that 2012 Final Four team and played heavy minutes in his final two years with the team. His pure scoring ability is what gets him the starting role on this All-Decade team.
His backup is someone who does a lot of things pretty well. Jae’Sean Tate is the perfect backup for this squad and his accomplishments back that up. Tate was a four-year guy that gave his all for the team every time he stepped out on the floor.
Tate was an undersized power forward at only 6’4, but he used his lower body extremely well. He used his leverage to get to the hoop and gobble up rebounds. Tate averaged 11.7 points in his career and was one of the hardest-working players the Buckeyes had.
Center isn’t the deepest position in this decade to work with, but it has the best player in the decade and was the easiest position to make a decision for. Which two players make the cut for the final position in our All-Decade team?
