Ohio State Buckeyes basketball 2010s All-Decade team

The starter was a very easy pick. That honor goes to D’Angelo Russell. Russell was a true point guard in every sense of the position. He had an uncanny vision to make passes that other players wouldn’t even try. He had a silky smooth shooting stroke and the will to win.
While he only played one season in Columbus before becoming the number two overall pick in the NBA draft, it was a productive one. He averaged 19.3 points per game, 5.7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1.6 steals. He also played a ton of minutes, playing almost 34 a game.
Russell was a consensus First-Team All-American as well as First-Team All-Big Ten. He also won Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors. Russell is the best guard the Buckeyes have had in quite some time. He was an easy choice as the starting point guard of this team.
The backup role was a little tougher to fill, but Aaron Craft seemed appropriate. Craft is one of the most beloved Buckeyes of all time. He played four years for the Scarlet and Gray. In those four years, he averaged 8.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.3 steals.
The rosy-cheeked assassin was a menace on defense. He locked down the best opposing guard every time he stepped out on the floor. His hustle made him a fan favorite in Columbus and hated elsewhere in the Big Ten. He also hit the game-winning three-point shot against Iowa State in the third round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament.
Now we move ahead to shooting guard where the options weren’t quite as plentiful. But these two guys are still very solid Buckeyes.
