Some like to fill their rosters with the best players available no matter who those players are.

Ranking all of the drafted and undrafted rookie Buckeyes based on their fantasy football value for the 2020 NFL season.

Others like to pick players based on playing for their favorite professional team or the college team they follow. Fortunately for Buckeye fans, their team can be filled with former Ohio State football players, and odds are it will still be one of the best in the league.

To get a jump on the rest of your league there is now a list of Buckeyes who were drafted or signed as undrafted free agents based on how much they can help your fantasy football team this year.

There are sixteen rookie Buckeyes who are entering the NFL this season. However, only five Buckeyes who will be available to be selected in standard fantasy football leagues and I will be ranking each of those players from least impactful to most this season.

#5 Rashod Berry

The first former Buckeye and the player who will probably have the least impact on your fantasy football team this season is Rashod Berry. He is an undrafted free agent who was signed by the New England Patriots.

Going into the draft, the Patriots had a dire need for a tight end, and if they had not filled that need so thoroughly, it is almost certain that Berry would be ranked towards the top of this list. However, after drafting two tight ends in the third round before signing Berry, it is clear that he will have to impress the Patriots coaching staff to even get a chance of seeing the field consistently this season.

In the Patriots offense, they often run two tight end sets which does leave a chance Berry could see the field before the year is over. He has the build of 6’4″ and 255lbs which would leave defenses struggling to find ways to guard him.

As a result of the ample depth in front of him, along with the Patriots still not signing a quarterback to replace Tom Brady, NFL journeyman Brian Hoyer is the frontrunner to be the one passing to Berry.

There is a chance that in a few years after being developed in the Patriots system Berry could become a serviceable tight end both for New England and in fantasy football. However, in this season a lot would have to go right for Berry to be a starter on any fantasy team.
