The Ohio State football team is putting together on of its best classes of all-time for 2021. Two more Buckeye verbal commits earned a fifth-star.

Defensive end Tunmise Adeleye of IMG Academy in Florida and offensive lineman Donovan Jackson of Bellaire, Texas both earned a five-star rating last week. This gives Ohio State an eye popping five commitments who have a five-star rating. This surely is shaping up to be an all-time great class of commits for Ohio State and head coach Ryan Day.

Adeleye received his five-star rating from Rivals as he is their 15th overall best prospect in the country. He is surely to earn a fifth-star from 247Sports as rankings are updated throughout the offseason.

Donovan Jackson received his fifth-star from both Rivals and 247Sports. He is Rivals No. 16 overall best prospect and the No. 2 rated offensive guard in the nation.

Ohio State is well on its way to the No. 1 overall recruiting class in the country under Ryan Day, something not even the great former Buckeye coach Urban Meyer was able to accomplish during his tenure in Columbus.

With 18 hard commitments and a long time to go until next the Early Signing Period in December, the Buckeyes can be extra picky with whom they select to close out the recruiting class. And there are a trio of five-star players at the forefront of that list.

Defensive tackle J.T. Tuimoloau is the country’s No. 4 overall player and is expected to choose between playing Ohio State football or stay home and play for Washington.

Corner back Tony Grimes from Virginia Beach is on the top of Kerry Coombs radar so don’t count the Buckeyes out in his recruiting battle with him leading the way. Clemson and Virginia Tech are also high on Grimes’ list of top schools.

Lastly, five-star receiver Emeka Egbuka from Steilacoom, Washington is high on Brian Hartline’s list of players to grab. Egbuka recently narrowed down his list of top four schools to Ohio State, Washington, Clemson and Oklahoma.

Next. Buckeyes should throw the ball more in 2020. dark

Any one of these players would likely cement Ohio State as having the No. 1 overall class for 2021, but don’t be shocked if the Buckeyes are able to grab at least two.
