Could it be that four Ohio State football players will be chosen in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, or possibly even more?

Not long after the 2020 NFL Draft is over people are speculating on players who will be chosen in the first round next year. One mock draft has four Ohio State football players taken early.

Charles Power of 247Sports did an interesting early mock draft and here are the Buckeyes he has going in the first round.

  • Quarterback Justin Fields:
  • Corner Shaun Wade:
  • Offensive guard Wyatt Davis:
  • Linebacker Baron Browning:

While you never know how things will play out, I think Mr. Power could be right on the money with these Ohio State players being first round picks.

If Justin Fields is even close to as productive as he was last season expect him to be chosen at the top of the draft. It will just come down to Fields and Trevor Lawrence as to the QB who will go No. 1.

Jeff Okudah was the No. 1 corner in the 2017 recruiting class and Shaun Wade was No. 2. Wade has played different positions during his three years and performed well. He will be on the edge next season and may prove to be a lock-down corner like Okudah, who was the No. 3 pick in this year’s draft.

Expect this guy to be chosen high next year.

Wyatt Davis was a steamroller his first full season as a starting guard. Another season like that and I can see Davis as a first round pick.

Baron Browning was a five-star recruit but has been playing behind established players, and at times played out of position. Next season he will be playing outside linebacker with Malik Harrison moving on. I can see him having a great year and being a high draft pick.

dark. Next. Undrafted free agents could play on Sundays

I have other Buckeyes in mind who could become first round picks, but like I said before you never know how things will play out. I’m just glad Mr. Power did his early mock draft to let us think about the possibilities. It’s a good read and I suggest you check it out.
