The Ohio State football program has become known as DBU for a good reason. Three more grads will have their names called in this year’s NFL Draft.

Two Ohio State football players will be chosen in the top five in this year’s NFL Draft barring some weird series of moves. Of course that sometimes happens.

Since everybody thinks defensive end Chase Young is a sure thing and the best player in the draft he will come off the board probably as the second pick. Cornerback Jeffrey Okudah is almost a certain top five pick and could be chosen at No. 3.

Defensive backfield mates will be chosen as well. Corner Damon Arnette could be chosen pretty early in the draft. According to Chat Sports draft analyst Todd McShay has Arnette going to the Chicago Bears in the second round.

If that is the case, it sure paid off for the corner to come back to Ohio State for one more season. He struggled at times during his career but had a nice senior year playing for coach Jeff Haffley.

Another Buckeye defensive back apparently will be drafted later than Okudah and Arnette. Walter Football.com has safety Jordan Fuller being chosen between the 4th and 6th rounds, and from other things I have read I think that may be the case.

If it is, I think some team will get a steal. Now, back to the corners.

Just think if Okudah is the first DB off the board and Arnette is chosen in the 2nd round. That would give Kerry Coombs even more ammo on the recruiting trail, like he needs any.

Although the two played for Hafley last season, Coombs coached Okudah as a freshman and Arnette for three years. They will be two more DBU grads who Kerry coached playing on Sundays. And the list of grads is getting to be a long one.

Next. Scoring machines and a two-time Heisman winner. dark

It promises to be a fun NFL draft with plenty of Ohio State football players chosen. And almost for sure three defensive backs will be.
