Overtime

Miami got off to a hot start in overtime, driving the ball down Ohio State’s throat.  The Hurricanes finished off the drive when Dorsey threw off his back foot to Winslow Jr. for a TD making it 24-17.

The Buckeyes got the ball and were in desperate need now. Facing a 4th and 14 Krenzel found Michael Jenkins for another completion that saved the season  (the first was the Holy Buckeye against Purdue).

Then, came one of the most controversial calls in college football history.  On a fourth and three, Krenzel attempted a short pass to Gamble but it was broken up by Miami cornerback Glenn Sharpe.

However, a flag was thrown and the refs huddled to discuss. During the replays, it appeared Gamble was looking at the ball and Sharpe did not have his hands around him until the ball was touching his hands.

Nevertheless, it was a pass interference call keeping the Buckeyes hopes alive.  Krenzel did a quarterback sneak tying the game to send the game into a another overtime period.
