With the Ohio State football team locking down five-star running back TreVeyon Henderson on Friday night the attention now turns to other prospects.

Coach Tony Alford accomplished his mission on Friday night as five-star ball carrier TreVeyon Henderson gave his verbal commitment to the Buckeyes. With Oklahoma grad-transfer Trey Sermon in the fold for next season and a verbal commitment from four-star running back Evan Pryor last week, Tony Alford revamped the running back room in a two-week period.

Now the attention turns to other five-star prospects who the Buckeyes are currently all in on and it starts with outside linebacker Terrence Lewis from Hollywood, Florida. Lewis, the No. 10 overall prospect in this 2021 recruiting class by 247Sports, has given indication that he would be open to playing in Columbus. This from Lettermen Row:

"“It’s not too late at all, that’s a school I wanted an offer from,” Lewis said. “It is a school where I feel I can excel at, plus the year I come they’re not going to have a lot of linebackers, so I can work to play early there.”"

The five-star top rated outside linebacker holds offers from Tennessee, Nebraska, Florida, Miami, Alabama and Penn State among many others and his recruitment appears to be wide open as of right now. That could spell trouble for those schools now that Ohio State and linebacker coach Al Washington appear to be very interested in Lewis’s services.

Another five-star prospect who is high on Ohio State’s wish list is J.T. Tuimoloau, defensive tackle from Sammamish, Washington. Tuimoloau, the No. 2 overall prospect in this class, would be a major get for head coach Ryan Day as he already has defensive end Jack Sawyer in the class. They would be a big time one-two punch on the defensive line.

There are three Crystal Ball predictions for Ohio State landing Tuimoloau and one in favor of the Washington Huskies. Having two of the top three players in one recruiting cycle is almost unheard of but a definite possibility.

Finally, the Buckeyes are also in on five-star defensive tackle Damon Payne from Belleville, Michigan. Payne is being recruited hard by both Alabama and Ohio State as it appears that this one will come down to those two schools. The No. 27 overall prospect in the 2021 class, Payne would represent insurance in case Tuimoloau selects Washington.

The Buckeyes are also in other five-star players such as cornerback Tony Grimes and wide receiver Emeka Egbuka to go along with a slew of borderline four-star prospects who could become five-stars. Most notably, offensive tackle JC Latham, offensive guard Rocco Spindler and defensive end Tunmise Adeleye.

If Ryan Day can lock in commitments from two or three of these players then this could very well easily be the Buckeyes greatest recruiting haul of all-time. And it would surely give Ohio State the top recruiting class for the 2021 cycle.
