The Ohio State football team has been on a roll as far as recruiting goes. The Buckeyes seem to be closing in on anther running back.

The Ohio State football team’s continues to impress on the recruiting front. With four major commitments last week, Ohio State seems to be picking up steam on another huge commitment.

With Ohio State looking to add two big time running back prospects to this recruiting class, five-start running back TreVeyon Henderson seems to be leaning the Buckeyes way. The No. 17 overall ranked prospect in the 2021 class by 247Sports, Henderson openly said the Scarlet and Gray are on the top of his list. This from Eleven Warriors:

"“It’s mainly those nine, but Ohio State’s standing out over all of them,” Henderson said. “They’re still leading. You can’t fall in love with one coach. Say that coach goes onto a different school, you’ve gotta still be able to see yourself going there. I can see that a lot (at Ohio State).”"

As the Buckeyes are the leaders in Henderson’s recruitment, the idea of Henderson and Buckeye verbal four-star running back Evan Pryor teaming up together would be a heck of a tandem. And Henderson and Pryor both are open to that idea as they are close friends off the field and had some fun via twitter about both teaming up in Columbus.

Obtaining another player the caliber of Henderson would put Ryan Day and Ohio State in the driver’s seat in gathering the No. 1 overall recruiting class for 2021. With already a substantial lead in 247Sports composite rankings, getting another top 20 player would separate the rest of the field even further.

Henderson has not been up to Columbus yet and that could stall his recruitment until he gets the chance to get to Ohio State. He was set-up to attend the spring game in which has since been cancelled. But as soon as recruiting visits open back up, look for Henderson to quickly get to Columbus and a verbal commitment could be in the cards soon after that.
