Ohio Stadium is the 6th largest stadium in the country

With a capacity of 102,082, Ohio State ranks 6th with the largest capacity in college football. Michigan Stadium (107,601), Beaver Stadium (106,572), Tiger Stadium (102,321), Kyle Field (102,733) and Neyland Stadium (102,455) are the only stadiums that have a higher capacity than The Shoe.

The largest crowd in Ohio Stadium history was in 2016 when the Buckeyes beat Michigan 30-26 in 2OT after a game winning touchdown by Curtis Samuel.

Ohio State has the 2nd most Rose Bowl Wins

The “Granddaddy of Them All” is the oldest bowl game and has been played annually since 1916. The Buckeyes have the 2nd most wins in the Rose Bowl with 8. USC has the most wins with 25 followed by Ohio State and Michigan tied at 8 each. Washington and Stanford are tied at 7 wins each followed by UCLA with 5.

The most frequent matchup in Rose Bowl history includes the Buckeyes against the Trojans which has occurred 7 times.

The most recent Rose Bowl win for Ohio State came in 2019. That was against Washington and the 28-23 victory sent coach Urban Meyer off with one last win in his coaching career.
