Ohio State is No.1 in Heisman Trophy Winners

Tied with Notre Dame, Ohio State has the most Heisman Trophy winners with 7. QB Les Horvath (1994), RB Vic Janowicz (1950), RB Howard Cassady (1955), RB Archie Griffin (1974, 1975), RB Eddie George (1995) and Troy Smith (2006) have set the standard for Ohio State players in terms of achieving the highest individual honor in college football.

Archie Griffin is the only 2-time winner of the Heisman Trophy.

With an all-time record of 923-326-53, Ohio State has the 2nd most winningest program of all time. The Buckeyes have a .729 win percentage since starting their football program in 1890.

With 8 national championships in 1942, 1954, 1957, 1961, 1968, 1970, 2002 and 2014, Ohio State is tied with Harvard for the 8th most national championships. Yale (18), Alabama (15), Princeton (15), Notre Dame (13), USC (9) and Michigan (9) round out the top 7.
