Ohio State Football: Buckeyes face huge challenge in East Lansing
The Ohio State basketball team will face a huge challenge against the Michigan State Spartans in East Lansing on Senior Day.
The Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan State Spartans will battle with plenty on the line for both teams. The Buckeyes have a chance to finish 12-8 in the Big Ten and the Spartans will tie for the regular season title with a win.
It’s also the final game Michigan State seniors will play in front of the home crowd. And one happens to be one of the best players in the country.
In fact, he is a finalist for the Wooden Award.
Cassius Winston has had an outstanding career and last season was named Big Ten Player of the Year. This season he is averaging 18.3 points per game and 5.9 assists.
He is a fun player to watch, unless he is playing against your favorite team.
Winston isn’t the only player the Buckeyes have to be concerned with though. The Spartans have other players who can score.
Xavier Tillman is averaging 13.7 points and is also pulling down 10.4 rebounds per game. Aaron Henry (9.9 ppg), Rocket Watts (8.7) and Gabe Brown 7.0 are also players Ohio State will have to be concerned with.
But there is no doubt the key to a Buckeye victory will be slowing down Winston. The senior guard is a difference maker.
Ohio State will also have to have plenty of players contributing on offense as has been the case lately. During Michigan State’s four game winning streak the Spartans have scored at least 78 points.
This is an important game for both teams and the Buckeyes face a huge challenge. They have to play the Spartans on their Senior day and contain one of the best players in college basketball.
